Kuala Lumpur, 14th June 2019 –In the event of joy, happiness of the Hari Raya cheer, The Budimas Charitable Foundation (Budimas) hosted a Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House at Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheerah, Cheras, which is also one of the children charitable homes that the foundation supports both financially as well as lend guidance to. Over 90 children and their caretakers from three different children shelters participated in the event which are the host, Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheerah, Baitun Nurrawdhah and Budimas’ very own children shelter, Pusat Kebajikan Kanak-kanak Budimas Orion. The event was officiated by YBhg. Datin Seri Maneesah Tunku Iskandar, Trustee of The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
The event began with the recitation of doa by one of the children from Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheerah and was continued with a speech by YBhg. Datin Seri Maneesah. It was then followed by a specially crafted Hari Raya performance by the 10 children from the host. A sumptuous spread of traditional Hari Raya favourites; rendang, lemang, satay as well as cookies were served to all the children.
“As we strive to provide equal opportunities to the less fortunate children, we keep up to our mission by ensuring that these children too get to experience festivities like the rest of us. This year, we are excited to host this celebration in Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera who has been an exceptional host to further enhance the relationships amongst all of us that strive for the same goals,” said Anne Rajasaikaran, Principal Officer of The Budimas Charitable Foundation.
The Hari Raya spirit was magnified when each child receives their ‘duit raya’ from the board Trustees of The Budimas Charitable Foundation as well as goodies bags filled with treats from our generous sponsors.
